Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division of UFC. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina followed it up and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas during The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Shevchenko broke her professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the fight with a TKO at the end of round two and her following two matches were staged at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina has recovered from her defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches, winning over Ariane Lipski and being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
