Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. It was difficult to master, do or work enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact in her point of view. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. Burrell is also a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate in which she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world, as she regularly goes on trips across the USA in both her roles as speakers and mentors. Anne, throughout her entire culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to be able to be able to share this love of life with others.
